Hey Toomas, In followup to my prev. reply and your question. Here is the output of the command: 'grep acd0 /var/run/dmesg.boot' acd0: CDROM <Compaq CRD-8322B/1.03> at ata0-slave PIO4 Thanks. PS: Kent, your suggestion is what I have already tried ...I've tried to 'umount /cdrom' it doesn't do anything.... since BSD cannot find it... when I go in /dev I do not see /cdrom there is only acd0, However when I try mkdir cdrom under /dev it says it already exists...? ls -a doesn't show anything.
