First I went to to the /usr/src/sys/modules/linux dir to test a make. That worked. OK, one down, one to go. Sure I could now probably build the d'd thing, but... I had this webpage on screen showing both procedures to build a kernel. The traditional way which I use and the "new" way, which I've only used once if at that. So... picked a box other than the one above and made buildkernel the new-fangled way. Guess what? Yep: donar:/usr/src# make buildkernel KERNCONF=NISSER ... -------------------------------------------------------------- >How-To-Repeat: build the kernel the traditional way >Fix: build the kernel the new way >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: >>> Kernel build for NISSER completed on Wed Jul 10 23:09:12 CEST 2002 -------------------------------------------------------------- So there you have it.
