I didn't notice such behavior - the only I observed is that running powerd in adaptive mode, the lowest frequency supported by CPU is ,,too low'' - I set 500MHz as the lowest possible via sysctl... but I'll take a closer look on that :) -- regards, Maciej Suszko.
