I see such message in log:
kernel: pid 12516 (firefox-bin), uid 1001, was killed: out of swap space

It would be very easy and useful to amend it with the process sizes:
kernel: pid 12516 (firefox-bin, size=769M, res=503M), uid 1001, was killed: out of swap space

It's good to know if the process was run away one or not.
