>Description:
Hallo,

the new polymake version 2.3 have been recently released. The port has been successfully built and tested under FreeBSD 6.2 on i386 and amd64. It should run on older FreeBSD systems too, as long as the requirements gcc >= 3.3 and perl >= 5.8.1 are met.

The spurios bug with the strip utility which has occasionally crashed and left over temporary files during the installation phase of the polymake-2.2 package has been recognized and fixed. It was caused by an error in polymake, not in strip itself.

>Fix:
I've tried to attach the compressed port files as the patch file in your Web form send-pr.html, but it was repeatedly rejected: "Patch file has wrong content type."

Please download it from

Thank you in advance!
