Yes, that particular behavior has not been implemented on ATA mkIII yet.

Well, if you unplug a drive that hasn't had its supply and data rails =20=

cut by a decent enclosure made for this, you risk frying the =20
electronics on the drive no matter if it spins or not.

The ABI changed so you need updated tools..
