Hi, I'm about to install a new machine which I plan to use as a web server running Tomcat 6, Java 1.5 and XINS 2.0. The machine is a Sun Fire X2100 M2 x64-server (1 dual-core AMD Opteron-processor, model 1210). I wonder whether I should install 6.1-ia64 or -x86. I don't have experience with ia64; will Java run well (meaning: stable) on it? Any experiences from others will be appreciated :-) Cheers, Ernst
