I take it back... boldly adding printf all over says:

	vp->v_mount is null

in the NNPFS_FROM_VNODE macro.

Adding if (vp->v_mount) return EDOOFUS does:

ls: /afs: Programming error

Attempting to umount /afs then panics most likely for the same
reason (v_mount is null):
