Well, no go for me.  I just ran as root, and no change.  Their is no
indication of mail anywhere: in the menus, icons, or preferences.  The KB
shortcut even skip it (ctrl 1 to ctrl 4).  I saw a library named
'mailandnews' in a directory somewhere, but that is it.
