Nope, just call and ask them if the IP address is DHCP assigned, or static.
They probably won't support unix, and may give you a hassel if you tell
them you're attempting to use a non-windows OS. At least thats what my
cable provider does, but everything was assigned via DCHP so setup was
simple...
