I get this when trying to load a perl script:

"Unknown file type /usr/X11R6/lib/xchat/plugins/sysinfo-xchat.pl. Maybe
you need to install the Perl or Python plugin?
 Usage: LOAD <file>, loads a plugin or script."

But I did see a perl.so in the plugins directory.
