This is part of the port's internal structure and not a setting to be 
controlled by the user. It does not pull in GNOME by itself. All it does 
is tell the ports system that this port would like to know which GNOME 
components are already installed. These can then be used as optional 
dependencies.

As Baptiste said, run "make config" and disable GNOME there if you do 
not want LibreOffice to integrate with it.
