If I try to mount the floppy when I am root, everything works fine!! I tried to chmod 766 /dev/fd* , but as soon as I reboot I have the problem again. I have notice now that I cannot use also the /dev/apm when I am not the root, but I can use /dev/dsp. fabry On Wednesday 07 January 2004 06:58 am, Tim Robbins wrote: > Fabrizio Parrella wrote: > ># sysctl vfs.usermount > >vfs.usermount: 1 > > > >any other ideas? > > Make sure that msdosfs support is compiled into the kernel or has been > loaded as a module before you try to mount the filesystem as a normal > user.
