Hello, I am wanting to learn more about the way the Version 7 of /etc/passwd and /etc/group are formatted. Could anybody provide some decent web links? Treid to search but I was lost in the over-abundance of online man pages for passwd and group. I would feel more comfortable knowing how to manually enter users rather than use the scripts.
