Hi Justin,

Sorry for the late reply. I was out of town for a bit...

Simply changing the port itself will certainly help. However, it
might not solve all of your problems if other ports are out-of-date as
well. It actually may lead to more problems in the future. It seems to
me that something very strange is going on with your port updates.
What process are you using to update your ports tree?

Also, are you saying the maia build fails on the new machine with a
fresh ports tree or the deletion and re-update of the ports tree fails?

If you want to try to work with the up-to-date port, you can download
a tarball of the latest port from
http://www.purplehat.org/downloads/maia/maia-1.0.3.r1575_1-port.tar.gz
and replace your current security/maia port with it. Hopefully that
will solve most of your problems.

If the ports tree isn't updating, this would certainly be the case.
Just download the latest port from purplehat.org and see what the
differences are. Also, please be sure to reply with your ports tree
update process.
