Greg--

As I said in my original message, my intention was not to criticize
anyone (or to imply that anyone did anything wrong).

I was just making the point (perhaps poorly) that phk saw the need to
make an exception to the code freeze, and based on his judgement, was
probably more comfortable in doing the immediate MFC than jedgar, who
was waiting for approval. I wanted people to remember that we are still
in code-freeze (ergo not to *expect* an immediate MFC from jedgar).

Sorry if I was unclear. For what it is worth, I think that both phk and
jedgar acted completely appropriately, and I'm thankful to both of them,
and everyone else who contributed towards solving this problem.

Cheers,

Bruce.
