Hello,

The discussion on Dell's survery about pre-installing a Linux distro has made
me think of a slightly different approach. Rather than being prompted by things
like a survey, maybe we should be more pro-active.

Are there any groups in the FreeBSD community actively going to manufacturers
and offering to assist them with instructions/information on how to include
FreeBSD as a pre-installed option. Perhaps if we go to manufacturers and offer
to hold their hand and walk them through every step necessary to make
pre-installing FreeBSD as simple as possible, then who knows what will happen?
If we offer to do the work for them, so they have to do as little as possible,
then they might turn around and say, great, we would love to have another
pre-install option.

Just a thought, Tim.
