Hi, On a mac system i generated the key using ssh-keygen -t dsa and copied .ssh/id_dsa.pub to /home/user/.ssh/authorized_keys on a Freebsd server, but it prompts for the password There's no passphrase for the key. Key generated from the linux or Freebsd machine works fine on the server. it shows this message in the auth.log sshd[5752]: error: PAM: authentication error for username from host Thank you Rihaz
