Dear submitter,

Would you please try the following operation and see if the problem
still persists?

	o cvsup your ports tree
	o pkg_delete portupgrade\*
	o cd /usr/ports/sysutils/portupgrade && make clean install

This should be able to ensure that you have a latest portupgrade
utility that supports the "extended" index format.  This change
happend in late June.
