The FPS numbers should be there just above the prompt. You can also show FPS in real-time while playing. The console command is set cg_drawfps 1 Q3 under FreeBSD has an annoying bug with text entry in that pressing Shift will re-type the previously typed character. To enter "cg_drawfps" you need to type "cgggdrawfps". The backspace deletes the third G, the shift repeats the backspace and deletes the second G, then pressing - while the shift key is down of course produces the _.
