I ask this because it takes about half an hour to go from nothing to a bootable system via a script but it can take several hours for cvsub to update the kernel sources and then the rebuild of the world to take place. If it won't effect the operation of such things as bind and dhcpd, one could bring the services up while it is being patched and just let everyone know that there will be another short outage when the rebuild of the kernel is done and we reboot to take advantage of the new patches.
