Could you file a PR based on this report?  Specifically, if you could 
include:

- The error output below.

- If possible, the dmesg -v output.

- Any other hardware information that's relevant (the full product
   name(s) of the box and card if bought separately, as that likely doesn't
   appear in dmesg).
