Now with 7.2... I compiled xorg-server without aiglx. I tried to start xorg with/without most modules. But every time it just displays a blank white screen - and that's it. Also, no matter whether dri/glx/GLcore is loaded or not there's a message in the log about direct rendering being disabled. I can switch back to text consoles, and I can Ctrl-Alt-Backspace out of xorg with no ill effects - but that's about all func- tionality I get. Stas, I remember you had some solution for a Radeon adapter on your notebook. It's probably not 1100, but still if you have a minute, could you remind me what you did then? Thanks! P.S. being sick of getting the only suggestion from Google searches - to use fglrx proprietary drivers, I'm now close to understanding Net/OpenBSD people trying to get 3d from nVidia cards and ending up with a crapload of "switch to FreeBSD" advice.
