No. AlphaXL only has ARC firmware available, not the SRM console f/w
that *BSD needs to run. Linux *might* run on them, using the ARC console.

In general: now that WinNT/alpha has died you will see a lot of used
XLs on the market. They are worth $0.00 if you try to trade them in for
something new so most companies try to find other ways to get rid of
them (sell them to employees, whatever).

I was offered a bunch of them this week too..
