You'll be fine on 2.2.1.  2.2.2 actually has some problems in
installation, and 2.2.1 is much more stable from the install end.

Yes.

I don't know if ipdivert made it into 2.2.1 or not.  YOu may need to move
up to 2.2-STABLE (past 2.2.2).
