As sugested by other list members is good to read man 3 ef and as long as you can obtain information from the novell sysadmin try to bind your nic to the specific ethernet frame used by novell server, eg. if is using Ethernet_802.2 frame use ifconfig_fxp0f2_ipx="ipx 33A95AF6".
