I have been using FreeBSD for years on much different hardware.
Currently I have a SuperMicro P6DGU dual-PIII motherboard that I am trying
to install to. This motherboard has an Adaptec AIC7890 on board, a 3C509c
NIC, and IBM LVD SCSI-3 drives. There is also an OnStream tape drive on
the other SCSI channel, but I have it disconnected whilst trying to figure
this out. This machine has run Linux without any problems, but I would
much rather run FreeBSD on it. So I used Partitition Magic to wipe the
drives clean, made root and boot floppies of 4.1-Release, and figured I
would be FTP'ing the OS in no time. Unfortunately, that was 4 days ago.
The system invariably hangs with no error messages after (this is with
boot -c):

At this point it just hangs :( Any input or suggestions would be most
appreciated. I have tried it with different video cards and even with all
the hard drives disconnected and it still hangs.

I suspect the SCSI controller, but I am at a loss.
