XFree86 IS available on all FreeBSD ftp servers! It's in the same
directory as all the other things related to an installation like
3.1-RELEASE/XF863331 or XF86332 (if it is ver 3.3.2)

I see it here right in front of me logged in via ftp to ftp.freebsd.org
