Date: Fri, 28 Mar 1997 14:53:11 -0500 From: Jmp Sender: owner-questions@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk I reciently upgraded our primary & secondary servers to 2.2-RELEASE, and since the 2.2.1-RELEASE fixes did not appear to be pertinent to us, I did not upgrade to 2.2.1.. (re-format, rather than upgrade).. but enough background.. The problem appeared the first time i looked at last.. so i removed /var/log/wtmp and toched a new one (since as i recall, a previous monthly script would do this for us automatically).. and tried logging in again.. to receive more weirdness.. [root@dcwi 14:31 ~ 233 ] last ttyp5 jmp Wed Dec 31 19:00 still logged in jmp ttyp4 Wed Dec 31 19:00 still logged in wtmp begins Wed Dec 31 19:00 [root@dcwi 14:31 ~ 234 ] date Fri Mar 28 14:31:54 EST 1997 so any ideas about the dorked dates and incorrect entries? Thanks for any help.. Jmp
