Hello, If you use 3.0-R, the dhcp clients are installed from the ports (or the packages). When I ran 3.0-R, I used to use the wide-dhcp client, which seems easier to configure than isc-dhcp client (both are accessible as packages). You may want to investigate both packages before choosing which you perfer (for wide-dhcp, you just have to add a line "<path/to>dchpc -n -r " to /etc/rc.local - it must be similar with the isc client) For both packages, you will find man pages, it's usually a good help to setup the programs.
