This is very true. And when it comes to choice between Linux and FreeBSD (as a company policy), despite my love for FreeBSD and long time (over 20 years) experience therewith, I find there is very little I can now rationally present as arguments to choose FreeBSD over Linux. Very simple questions from the management: 1. If we decide to run FreeBSD on AWS ARM64 instances, how are you going to upgrade them? Via buildworld on each? Not funny. 2. What if we eventually decide to roll out docker? leave me argumentless. Perhaps it's really a question for freebsd-advocacy rather than freebsd-questions. I might as well move there if too many people are unhappy with the topic. --=20 Victor Sudakov, VAS4-RIPE, VAS47-RIPN 2:5005/49@fidonet http://vas.tomsk.ru/ --gJNQRAHI5jiYqw2y Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJfHE6cAAoJEA2k8lmbXsY0LX8IAJ+fBgEipdcHV+J+ZoZ0gbmP 9u4YvP91EMdzMMknoWfDPy26UCDk2zxfDJI6E+ZQXUMSJRI0w23Abf/SOx+/bO4W cBRm03PduqgJO163rxWhcqSLXPPoEYYVOVUWJRXT+bP+YaAyA0AXirPXZXCsE1ki iCv/56PRDoVxfNam1i1eXLLd69401Yk76uQpzXBX4O2e0neJP2vF3FBOpRsfqg5n Bss8JXM4S16KbtGhHL2FhlkO93GTTZXEGfxifExGrviUmWW6y/20so26Rggw24XC 0+kfvdKR3LLvyYdlMaIpdhgyOa6cO1u8/fJC8sjatx814G53cyVcL4pgSi17bpY= =MdOP -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --gJNQRAHI5jiYqw2y--
