As I point out everytime someone claims that... FreeBSD asks you what shell you want when you boot single-user. It defaults to /bin/sh. You will not screw yourself by setting root's shell to /usr/local/bin/wackysh. On the other hand, what's wrong with "su -m" or sudo anyway? I can't remember the last time I used root's login shell.
