I can -auto connect to a local ISP and all works very well. Quite slick. But when I try to log into my office, which also has dial-up ppp, I get a login error. I'm guessing that the login sequence is different, but when I use tip to dial in, I hit a brick wall. There doesn't appear to *be* a login sequence. Using tip, I get a "CONNECT 57600" string back, but then tip freezes. The keyboard doesn't appear to do anything. Have to reboot to get back in business. Is there some magic connect sequence for certain types of ppp? I'm able to connect to this number using ppp in interactive mode, and, in my pre-FreeBSD life, I was able to use this connection from WindowsNT and Windows95 without a problem. For what it's worth, the office ppp connection dynamically assigns an IP address and a DNS server, but it seems like we're not even getting that far. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.
