A few must reads:

UNIX Network Programming by W. Richard Stevens

UNIX Network Programming, Volume 2: Interprocess Communications (2nd
Edition)

As far as website for C I don't really know of any because I never
looked myself. However, a great website I have found for BSD assembly
(which learning assembly and how compilers generate assembly can be very
helpful in optimizing your C code) is: http://www.int80h.org/bsdasm/

Hope this helps!
