I have a Chips and Technologies video chip in a Chicony Chembook laptop. Recent boot floppies (and the resulting FreeBSD operating system) displays text in virtual terminals often with solid blocks of white and black (meaning blank characters) all over the screen. Any idea what's causing that? Paging up and down generally eliminates the problem for a time.
