>Description:
FreeBSD seems to have problems with ATAPI CD/DVD-Drives attached to IDE-RAID Controllers (no harddisks, only one DVD-Drive). When I load atapicam with DMA enabled (hw.ata.atapi_dma = "1"), it takes a long time until the drive is recognized (about 3 Minutes). Afterwards, I can't mount the drive and 'cdrecord -scanbus' fails. I've tested an onboard JMicron JMB361 Controller and a PCI-UDMA Raid Card with Sil680 Chipset. Both with the same fault.

>Fix:
Disabling DMA solves the problem. The price you have to pay for it is a bad performance.
