dunno about the Z505, but on the FX220, if you compile with "options VESA"
and "options SC_PIXEL_MODE" and then do a "vidcontrol -g 100x37 VESA_800x600"
you can get a 100x37 console. You may need to load an 8x8 font too.
You can also set some options in /etc/rc.conf to have vidcontrol kick it
into that mode automatically on startup.
