Depending on what exactly the collision led signifies on your switch,  
this might indicate a problem.  On a full-duplex link, there cannot  
be any collisions by definition.  You should make sure that your  
switch and nve0 are both full-duplex.

If your "collision" led indicates back-pressure being applied to the  
port, then it might be OK.
