I would appreciate if somebody explained me why I can install
FreeBSD on the above machine, but after reboot kernel couldn't find
SCSI (from which it had just been loaded :-)

anybody _EVER_ installed FreeBSD-3.3R or 3.4R onto Acer machine ?!
should I try 2.2.8 instead ????

Regards, (Наилучшие пожелания)
