i doubt your mii-patch is correct, the lucent mii-transceiver that sun
puts to the hme-chips is the lu6612 which is a 64pin lqfp, this also
matches the oui and model you put into miidevs. the national
semiconductor dp83840 i've seen so far where all 100pin pqfp. according
to the lu6612 datasheet it's pin-compatible to the quality semiconductor
qs6612 (but doesn't work correctly when driven by the qsphy-driver).
moreover, the lu6612 also isn't driver-compatible to the dp83840,
at least the linux hme-driver distinguishes between the two (look for
is_lucent_phy() in linux/drivers/net/sunhme.c; btw, iirc they only
check for the lucent oui there) and it's datasheet also doesn't mention
that it would be driver-compatible to something else.
