I would stick with it... it's fast for that kind of a drive and is still
rather portable.

It depends, but the speed difference isn't 3-5x faster (again, it
depends on the configuration of the parallel port, the cable quality,
and for the USB drive, how many other USB devices contending for the
1.5MBps shared bandwidth). I just like not having to lug around a wall
wart and have it work immediately in FreeBSD (and in Windows, and Mac
OS).
