Not compared to the stripped down kernels that used to fit on one
floppy.

Actually, the discussion was about leaving out things that were
not needed for loading the OS into it, and splitting the kernel/mfs
load onto two seperate disks, and on splitting the kernel itself
between disks.

All the FS support code should be capable of living on other
floppies (for example), since the loader can read FFS to load
them in as modules, etc..
