This isn't of course needed when XFREE86_HTML_MAN = yes, which is the case when XFREE86_VERSION != 3. This one was my fault ! + The other problem, the error message on make deinstall of: ===> Deinstalling for xmailwatcher-1.6 pkg_delete: couldn't open dependency file `/var/db/pkg/XFree86-libraries-4.0.1_2/+REQUIRED_BY' is caused by my having built XFree86-4 from the port x11/XFree86-4. This installs version 4.0.2. However, the LIB_DEPENDS variable in /usr/ports/Mk/bsd.port.mk is augmented with x11/XFree86-4-libraries which is based on version 4.0.1. The upshot of this is you get the above error message ( if you've not installed x11/XFree86-4-libraries ). I think the solution is to either synchronise x11/XFree86-4 and its constituent ports, ( perhaps making it a meta port ), or alter the line in bsd.port.mk.
