Oh, and let's not forget that BSD traditionally didn't 
run on x86 hardware either ;-p 

Can we agree to drop the 'traditionally' as a last resort 
argument to justify inertia? Compatibility, POLA, bloat,
creeping featurism, etc. will do fine.
