what this means is that anyone can telnetin on port 3000 (3001?) and get a
ppp> prompt, so they could disconnect your connection or do other
insidious things.   Using ppp.secret, you can passowrd-protect this
interface.  It's format is:

<username>      <password>              <valid netmasks>
