Hi,

Have you tried a different program? I use xmcd and it allows you to
configure it to use different CD-ROM's. If you grab the package (if you
don't have Motif, this is the best option - Lesstif will work but some
small things (that don't affect functionality) won't work. To configure
from the package do the following:

	- install xmcd package
	- cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xmcd/config
	- sh config.sh
	- answer the questions :-)

I use xmcd on my work machine (IDE CD-ROM) and at home (SCSI) and it works
great on both of them.

Another thing to try just to make sure everything works is try cdcontrol
(in /usr/sbin) and see if it works. Read the man page to see how it
works.
