MB ~ 1995 cyrix 486
ide 240 meg conner on port 1 master
ide cd-rom 4x on port 2 slave
disk id 0 340M quantum on / whole disk
disk id 1 340M quantum on /var whole disk
disk id 2 1080M seagate partition 1 80M swap
partition 2 950M on /usr
if i just let it boot i get the
error: c:1456 > 1023 (bios limit)
if i use a boot manager and try booting off ID 1 i get the boot prompt and
can type 1:sd(1,a)kernel but it finally says cannot mount root
after probing for all the devices.
I dont understand cause the root filesystem is on its own disk of
340M in size why does it think the bios limit is reached.
What disk is causing this problem?
what can i do to fix it.?
