Just to clarify slightly: notice that this is driver version 171.06, while
the one dubbed "latest" (which is also in ports) is 169.12. What it is
doing in "archives" is not quite clear. Anyway, maybe the port could have
an update? The change is really straightforward -- just bump the driver
version string and file size and checksums. I've been testdriving it for a
while now, nothing unusual.

JFYI, XvMC in mplayer more or less works with this driver in 7.0-STABLE,
too -- if you forcefully compile it in. The quality is surprisingly good,
even with bob-deinterlacing, though aspect ration gets distorted in
fullscreen for some reason.

Over 200k in weight might hardly qualify as "small" :) But, from what I
hear on the Net, they've been doing it for ages: seems like their drivers
for Winblows contain text files with PCIIDs and card/chip names. So, that
means you could find out about their new cards before they are even
released just by reading the text files in fresh drivers :)
