Hi,

I have the same problem too. Let me guess, your disk is an IBM DTLA
(ATA100). I believe this is due to incompatibility between HPT366 and IBM's
ATA100 disks.

HPT claims that the latest BIOS solved this problem but it didn't work for
me. I'm now avoiding HPT's controllers like plague.
