Hello,
I'm using the DC390U2W on a 3.4-STABLE 486DX4/100 with pci slots. No
problem were encountered, this card has a good value for money.
I use sym driver and boot messages report 80Mbytes/s with an IBM DNES 9Go
(don't think the 486 will use the whole rate :)

Regards
